What are the differences between cast hook and forged hook
Forged hook is an integral forged product. The straight part above is called the hook neck. The top of the hook neck is processed with threads. It is used to assemble hook beams, thrust bearings, hook nuts and other fog parts. The lower curved part is called the hook body. The cross section of the hook body is rounded, and the trapezoidal large end is inside and the small end is outside. This section shape can not only increase the area of the hook under pressure, but also make the strength of the inner and outer edges of the section close to the same, so as to make full use of the hook body material.
The casting hook is the process of melting the steel material into a liquid that meets certain requirements and pouring it into the mold. After cooling, solidification and cleaning, the hook (blank) with predetermined shape, size and performance is obtained.
